Offer Description
The candidate will reconstruct the neuropeptidome of the sea urchin larva by combining targeted proteomics with computational approaches to identify, characterize, and annotate the neuropeptides present. In addition, the candidate will spatially map and validate the expression of the identified neuropeptides using in situ hybridization (ISH) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Antibodies against selected validated neuropeptides will also be generated to support functional and anatomical studies

Italian or foreign candidates may participate in the selection procedure if they possess: MSc degree in Biology or equivalent qualification obtained abroad obtained no more than six years ago as well as a curriculum suitable for assisting in carrying out the research activities covered by the assignment, Knowledge of English
