Offer Description

We are looking for a motivated and independent postdoc researcher. The successful candidate will have solid experience in sensory neuroscience. An ability to independently conduct experimental research projects is essential, as well as good communication skills in spoken and written English. A student coaching experience is desired. 

In terms of techniques, the following skills are desired:

- knowledge of functional imaging techniques applied to the insect brain (in vivo calcium imaging)

- excellent control of electrophysiological recordings in the insect

- expertise in experimental psychology and experience with associative conditioning in insects

- analysis of imaging data (IDL, Matlab, ImageJ environments)

- Knowledge of transgenesis in the honey bee

 

Work Context: 

The successful candidate will work with a team of the EGCE laboratory (UMR 9191) working on the evolution of sensory capacities in insects. The Laboratory is located in Gif-sur-Yvette, about 45 minutes from Paris by public transport.
