The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry intends to gain additional expertise on Chemoinformatics and Computer-assisted molecular modeling based analysis of potential drug candidates and has an open group leader position for a scientist with a PhD possessing strong expertise in these fields. We are a young and commited team and offer a creative working atmosphere, flexible working times and a suitable starting salary.

Your area of responsibility includes the design and execution of research projects in the field of computer-assisted molecular design including software development for machine learning and free energy calculations as well as the publication of results in international peer-reviewed journals. Furthermore we expect your collaboration in already ongoing projects in the team and your participation in teaching, holding classes due to extent regulations of wage agreement. - Excellent knowledge in computer-assisted molecular design and chemoinformatics
- Proficient in using chemoinformatics toolkits (e.g. rdkit, CPDKit) and molecular dynamics software (AMBER, CHARMM, Gromacs, openMM, etc)
- Documented publication activity in peer-reviewed journals
- Excellent knowledge of python and best practice software development (integration/unit tests, CI/CD, git, etc.)
- Experienced in the development and maintenance of open source software projects
